Hormonal is a short (22') impact-driven documentary.

Hormonal birth control influences women’s brains. Do we care? Get ready to see the invisible and hear the unheard as a dancer embodies real life stories of women’s experiences with contraceptives.

By working with the impact producers at Commotion, the film was used to start conversations on hormonal birth control. We did this, among other things, through

• A sold-out screening at Pakhuis de Zwijger (Amsterdam), with a panel of experts present and open discussion

• A sold-out screening at Tivoli (Utrecht) as a part of the NFF Club Cinema, with open discussion afterwards

• News coverage by newspapers on the topic and a radio interview

• A workshop collage on the topic, after the première at Sheffield Docfest, led by a local artist
